Team

The firm LAURENCE LANOY – Avocats, specialized in environmental law, is currently made up of a dynamic team of six people, including four lawyers and jurists, an assistant and an office manager contributing to the correct operation of the firm.

- Laurence Lanoy, Managing Partner

Since 1990, Laurence Lanoy has developed a high expertise in environmental law. First as an Associate with a law firm admitted before the French Supreme Court (Avocat à la Cour de Cassation) and the Council of State (Conseil d’Etat), she worked on cases involving administrative law. During that time, she also attended the three-year training program of the "Institut de Formation et de Recherche des Avocats aux Conseils" (IFRAC). In 1994, Laurence Lanoy joined HUGLO-LEPAGE, where for more than four years she specialized in environmental law. From 1999 to 2003, she was in charge of the environmental law department of the American firm Coudert Brothers LLP. In 2005 she created a FIRM specialized in environmental law, which assists and represents french and international corporations, public administrations, governments and international law firms.

Laurence Lanoy obtained a DEA [LL.M.] in public law and a PhD in environmental law. She became a member of the Paris Bar in 1990. Laurence Lanoy is also one of some lawyers who are certified environmental law specialists in France.

Due to her international practice, Laurence Lanoy is completely fluent in English, German and Russian.

Laurence Lanoy is mentioned in the books European Legal 500, European Legal Experts and Chambers and Partners as being part of renowned practices in France in environmental law.

She is the author of several books and she published numerous papers on environmental law in law and economic journals.

She is also a member of the editorial board of the “Environmental Law” (Droit de l’Environnement) revue and the “Bulletin du Droit de l’Environnement Industriel” revue (BDEI) and contributes to numerous conferences.

The lawyers and jurists are all specialized in the fields of the environmental law, being titular at least of Master II in this discipline, and usually speak several foreign languages (English, Spanish, German and Russian).

Opened to the global legal and economic problematics, the firm LAURENCE LANOY - Avocats is attached to a transverse work on the points of environmental law it has to deal with and in which each lawyer is associated.
